Spring At Stuarts Point

Little River Cottage is alive with bursts of colour, with the Azalea's flashing various shades of pink and our lovely pinwheel Protea coming in a dark burnt orange, red and pink. We were also delighted to see one of the beautiful orchards in full bloom.

Bookings can be made at    Little River Cottage

 Pinwheel Protea

This delighted a group of guests we had staying for a week. They loved to have breakfast and lunches on the front deck and look at the orchard whenever they could.

They were also delighted to discover that our edible garden was for everyones use and they could pick fresh herbs every day. To their delight the strawberries ripened and were also happily eaten by the group.

Bulbs have started shooting and all around Stuarts Point small crocus flowers are starting to appear. In one paddock the flowers are like a spring field of colour with the flowers heads reaching above the grass. You can off course walk to this within a few minutes of leaving Little River Cottage.

Bird lovers would be delighted as Bee Eater Birds make their homes in the long grass and simply come out and crunch those bee's right outside their  front door.

  1. The bee Eaters have arrived and we enjoyed their aerial dance for over an hour while they collected their bees for dinner. When they fly their is a great flash of green and blue, similar to a Kingfisher.
